Why Use Centurion Hobby Distributor's, Inc.?
Because your store is not a number, so why should you be treated like one? We believe there are three things to make a business successful: Service, Technology helping you to work SMARTER not HARDER and a knowledgeable staff. We appreciate your business and want to see your store succeed. If you are successful, then we are as well.

In the 1980's, there were dozens of distributors all across the country. If one did not have something you needed, odds are another did. They knew the stores they serviced and catered to their needs while always on the lookout for products they thought would fit into their customer base. The situation is quite the opposite now. With only a few monster distributors around, if one of them runs out of something, then you probably won't be able to get it somewhere else. That is one of the reasons this company was founded. You should have a choice as to who gets your business, and if your needs are not being met, you should not have to be stuck with poor service due to the lack of an alternative distributor. We are always looking for ways to improve our business, and many of the ideas we have implemented in the past have come from our own customers.

Centurion Hobby Distributors Inc., will not sell directly to the public. We suggest individuals seek out a game retailer in their area first, and in the event that there is no local game retailer, Centurion will try to refer them to one of our accounts known to do mail order. Occasional direct sales will be considered for older or obsolete product that is being cleared out of inventory. This is predominantly done at several local conventions. However, our retail accounts will be given priority on any cut rate deals on such products. Products that are in high demand from retail accounts will never be sold to the public over orders from legitimate retailers. All retail accounts must be engaged in the resale of the items that they purchase on the retail level and cannot be purchasing for a group of individuals (i.e. game clubs) or solely for personal use. All new accounts must complete and return the required paperwork before an account can be opened.

This information is required for the protection of retailers so merchandise is not shipped to individuals who are not interested in reselling or who are looking to compete against legitimate storefronts through massive discounting. It also ensures that individuals starting businesses have put some effort into making it a legitimate business. Centurion understands all too well that starting small is the only way some stores get started, but it is not willing to sell to individuals who do NOT have the best interest of the industry in mind (heavy discounting). Do not even think about opening an account here if you plan on selling at a few points over cost in order to grab all the market share you can, that is not the type of retail customer we want.

Wizard's of the Coast, Wizkids, Decipher & TSR Inc. have made it part of their contract with all distributors that we are NOT allowed to sell to Internet/Mail Order only companies. Products from these companies can only be purchased by legitimate store front operations. You must provide an interior and exterior photograph of your retail location in order to purchase games from one of these manufacturers (the photo will be waived if a Centurion Staff member has visited the store in person).

Criteria for Opening a New Account

To open an account, you must be a retail operation that meets the following criteria:

  • Have a State Sales Tax License
  • Have a Storefront location (please provide interior and exterior photos*)
  • Have a listing in your local Yellow Pages directory
       *photos will be waived if a Centurion employee has visited your store in person

For new accounts with no trade references, the minimum initial order is $500 wholesale, to be shipped COD Certified Check or Money Order. After the first successful order, and until terms are granted, subsequent orders will be shipped COD Business check. If proof of accounts in good standing with other distributors can be shown (see Dealer Information and Credit Application), then the minimum order is waived.
